    Dating back to ancient civilizations, maquettes

(miniature scale models) have been used to visualize and present larger projects before committing to full-scale construction. We use handcrafted maquettes for the same reasons: to visualize and present our concepts, plan construction details, organize materials and estimate costs. Maquettes are wonderful devices for avoiding unexpected problems with our woodworking designs, which prove to be so expensive down the line.
